Activity Director Training Course

What You Will Learn From This Course

This course provides basic training for those new to the activity profession. However, it is also an excellent resource for Activity Assistants and experienced Activity Directors. The training program is competency (skill-level) based and focuses on the participants.

Students will have six (6) months from the registration date to complete the online coursework and exam.

While this training is designed for the new activity professional, it is also an excellent course and resource for Activity Assistants and experienced Activity Directors.

Fees

  • $275 per person

The course is non-transferable, and NO REFUNDS will be issued after you purchase it.

  • Students will have six months from the registration date to complete the online coursework and exam. After six months, students generally must re-register at the full fee.
  • After completing the online course, the student must attend an Activities Director Track at either the IHCA Winter Workshop or the Annual Summer Convention.

The mandatory IHCA Activity Director track is offered twice yearly. Summer convention and Winter workshop.  Registration for these events is not included in the course registration fee. 


    Certificate of Completion


    The Idaho Health Care Association will provide a Certificate of Completion once all components have been completed.

    Important Note:

    • Upon completing the course, students must attend a mandatory Activity Director Course Track at either an upcoming IHCA Winter Workshop or the IHCA Annual Summer Convention. 
    • Registration for this required mandatory track is in addition to the regular class registration fee. You’ll need to register and pay for this event separately.
    • Bring the completed Activity Planner and materials completed in Module 6, and be prepared to demonstrate your activity to classmates at the Winter Workshop or Annual Summer Convention.
