Course Overview
This training course consists of eight [8] modules developed as part of a training program for nursing directors (administrators) in long term care facilities. The eight [8] modules are written in a competency-based format that focuses on what the nursing administrator should know and be able to do.
The eight [8] modules are:
1. Nursing Administration
2. Regulations
3. Financial Management
4. State Agency Oversight for Licensure and Certification
5. Continuous Quality Improvement
6. Developing and Managing Human Resources
7. Residents’ Rights and Legal/Ethical Issues
8. Providing Quality CareCourse content will help experienced nursing directors in refining skills and certainly the novice director will learn in detail about the job. The more experienced directors of nursing are encouraged to share their knowledge and expertise with the less experienced directors of nursing and to serve as mentors to them while they are learning.

Cancellations & No-Shows
Cancellations are subject to a $50.00 fee if made more than seven (7) business days prior to the event. There will be no refund or credit granted for “no-shows” and cancelled registration within seven (7) business days of the event. Training dates are subject to change. Additional dates may be added due to demand. Please note — IHCA reserves the right to re-schedule any training that does not meet minimum registration requirements.
