Course Overview
Caring for those with dementia can be both rewarding and challenging. IHCA and A Mind For All Seasons are pleased to offer a training program that will help your team develop the skills they need to excel. Participants will learn:
> How Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia affect the brain;
> How those changes affect the way a person living with dementia experiences the world;
> How the physical environment affects behavior;
> How to approach persons living with dementia to minimize negative behavioral expressions;
> Specific ways to help residents with dementia have positive experiences during bathing, dressing, toileting and other personal care;
> Creative ways to engage persons with dementia in meaningful activity;

Cancellations & No-Shows
Cancellations are subject to a $50.00 fee if made more than seven (7) business days prior to the event. There will be no refund or credit granted for “no-shows” and cancelled registration within seven (7) business days of the event.
