Active Shooter Training – Stan Szpytek will present Armed Intruder/Active Shooter in LTC – Planning to Survive the Unthinkable on Tuesday, September 27, from 10:30 AM to noon. This 90-minute session will review the importance of preparedness to manage an active shooter or armed intruder in long term care. As well, Mr. Szpytek will present options that should be considered when confronted with an armed intruder or active shooter. Participants will also learn from case studies and discuss the importance of planning to recover from these types of adverse events.

[/restab][restab title=”Fees”] Full Conference Package: Includes entry to all conference education sessions, meals, refreshment breaks, the Exhibit Showcase, the Let the Good Times Roll Fun Night, and up to 11.5 continuing education units attending sessions in person, 32.5 total if you complete virtual sessions.

All in-person and virtual registrations will have access to recorded sessions and CEUs for two weeks after the conference ends.
Daily Packages: Include entry to educational sessions offered that day, refreshment breaks, access to handout materials (online), and Tuesday Only includes lunch and Exhibit Showcase. Monday, 2.5 CEUs available; Tuesday, 6 CEUs available; Wednesday, 3 CEUs available.

This year’s conference will kick off on Monday, September 26, with breakout sessions beginning at 1PM, and the WHCA-PAC Fall Golf Tournament (more details coming soon). On Tuesday, September 27, we will continue with more breakout sessions, the Exhibit Showcase from 4:00 to 5:30 PM, followed by Fun Night. The cost to exhibit and attend fall conference is $399. If you’d like to attend Tuesday’s lunch and/or Fun Night, tickets must be purchased separately. Exhibit spaces are limited so register today! We will wrap up the conference on Wednesday, September 28, with more breakout sessions. Fall conference will adjourn by noon.
On the WHCA website: 1. Select “Individual Facility” under Step 1. Step 2 should read “I am not listed above”. From there, click the blue register now icon. Check the Exhibit Space option at $399.
