2022 IHCA Fall Regional Meetings (In-Person)

The 2022 training meetings will be split into two simultaneous sessions (covering different topics) to allow more people to attend.  We look forward to seeing you in your individual regions!

  • Non-members are welcome to participate with $50 per person registration fee.
  • All participants that register and attend may receive up to 1.5 CEU credits.

Class Descriptions: 

  • ROOM ONE – ALF Medicaid Reimbursement

Brian Bagley, IHCA Board President, will describe in-depth how ALFs can qualify for the new “supervision” rate, which adds $64 per day for residents on Medicaid who qualify. Brian will also describe how the UAI is scored and what kind of supervision and documentation you must provide to obtain the increase.

  • ROOM TWO – Phase 3 SNF Requirements of Participation

Phase 3 Requirements of Participation technically went into effect in 2019, but they were put on hold because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Implementation of the new guidance is set for October 24, 2022. We will discuss:

  • Abuse and Neglect
  • Admission, Transfer, and Discharge
  • Mental Health/Substance Use Disorder
  • Payroll Based Journal/Nurse Staffing
  • Resident Rights
  • Potential Inaccurate Diagnosis and/or Assessment
  • Pharmacy Services
