Course Overview

You Will Learn:

This comprehensive all-day workshop course helps participants learn to see the world from the perspective of someone living with dementia. Using real-world case-studies, analogies, role-playing, and the latest insights from dementia research, participants will develop a deep set of tools, approaches and techniques to help them communicate effectively with those living with dementia. Participants will also learn the latest science regarding techniques to help people with cognitive decline function better and help others around them prevent dementia. The course also explores leadership tools to help attendees take what they learn back to their teams and implement meaningful changes in their organizations.

Eric Collett, Principal & CEO of A Mind For All Seasons, LLC, is a nationally recognized speaker, consultant and dementia expert, a licensed ALF administrator, and a teacher at Boise State University and the College of Western Idaho. Eric passionately believes that lifelong learning is a key to finding powerful new solutions to significant challenges and has worked to change lives through innovative dementia care techniques and leadership strategies since 2000.

$ 129 per person up to 7 CEUs possible

Cancellations & No-Shows

Cancellations are subject to a $50.00 fee if made more than seven (7) business days prior to the event. There will be no refund or credit granted for “no-shows” and cancelled registration within seven (7) business days of the event. Training dates are subject to change. Additional dates may be added due to demand. Please note — IHCA reserves the right to re-schedule any training that does not meet minimum registration requirements.

REGISTRANT RESPONSIBILITY:

Registrants must retain copies of their CEU certificate and any handouts in the event they are audited by the licensing agency.

Education offered by IHCA may also be sufficient for other license types (i.e. social work, certified dietary manager, etc.) as long as the learning objectives and educational levels of the presenter(s) meet the licensure requirements. It is up to each attendee to determine the appropriateness of a session and whether it will meet the requirements of their license type.
