Recognizing the value of a healthcare related education, the Idaho Health Care Association offers scholarships for eligible Idaho residents. These programs are designed to help more Idaho residents enter the nursing facility care field in either getting their CNA, a full nursing degree or a certificate program.
The scholarships below are administered by the Idaho Health Care Association.
Please review the eligibility, you will only need one application for all three scholarships listed below.
Available Scholarships
Award Delta Holloway Scholarship
Amount: up to $1500
Eligibility
- Currently enrolled in an IHCA online (AL Administrator, Activity Director, or Dietary Manager) course OR post secondary educational institution & completed at least one semester/quarter in the program
- and maintain a “passing” grade (online courses) or cumulative grade point average of 3.0 overall or above (based on a 4.00 scale) or equivalent;
- Demonstrate financial need; and
- is currently employed or volunteering in a long term care facility.
Deadline: June 1, 2018
All application materials must be postmarked by Friday, June 1, 2018.
Award Dorothy Witmer Scholarship
Amount: up to $1500
Eligibility
- Currently enrolled in an IHCA online (AL Administrator, Activity Director, or Dietary Manager) course OR post secondary educational institution & completed at least one semester/quarter in the program
- and maintain a “passing” grade (online courses) or cumulative grade point average of 3.0 overall or above (based on a 4.00 scale) or equivalent;

Award Sheri Rogers Scholarship
Amount: up to $1500
Eligibility

- and maintain a “passing” grade (online courses) or cumulative grade point average of 3.0 overall or above (based on a 4.00 scale) or equivalent;
- Demonstrate financial need; and
- is currently employed or volunteering in a long term care facility.
